DESIGN
I've always been creative. Even when I was little. From art at school, to ceramics and interior design. Seeing something come to life through colour and texture has always given me great pleasure.
Design inspiration for my belt buckles is modern day life itself - beautiful fabrics, quilting patterns, repurposing gorgeous ceramics and porcelain pieces. Anything and everything that appeals to my sense of fun and fashion.
SELECTION
Choosing the right pieces to include in one of my handcrafted buckles is key. All ceramic and porcelain pieces are from brand new materials - not secondhand items picked up at a market stall or thrift shop. It is important that the glazing and surfaces have not lost the sheen or sparkle that comes with age.
All glass or tile pieces are sourced from mosaic shops or purchased direct from suppliers. What makes a
Spur designs buckle unique is that no two buckles are the same. Because every piece is individually glued in by hand, you can rest assured that no-one will have the exact same buckle as you!
CRAFTSMANSHIP
Every piece in your Spur designs buckle has been individually hand glued and selected for the sole purpose of ensuring that the quality and life of the buckle is maximised.
The silver and gold dipped casts have been sourced through an Australian supplier and all design and workmanship has been carried out locally in Sydney.
